Barça Ready for Inaugural Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in La Liga 30 months following their departure so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
