The Red Bull team has revealed a new line-up for the 2026 Formula 1 season, moving up Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its A-team and handing 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his maiden F1 drive. Lindblad, who has a Swedish father and a mother of Indian descent, will be team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the sister squad Racing Bulls. This reshuffling sees Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid after five seasons. A Star in the Making Arvid Lindblad drove first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix in the current season. Lindblad has been identified as a rising talent by Red Bull since he was 12 years old. Talking about the team's junior academy, a key advisor noted last year that Lindblad "looks really promising", highlighting his "pure speed". Red Bull has been working for some time to ready Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring appearances in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City. The rookie said it was a "huge honour", commenting: "2026 will be a huge step, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and meet the challenge. I can't wait to get started." He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is sixth in the championship ahead of the final round in Abu Dhabi. Hadjar's Big Break The French driver enjoys his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Dutch Grand Prix this season. Hadjar's F1 career began in difficult fashion when he crashed on the formation lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. But, since then, he has been one of the stand-out newcomers this season. He included an remarkable podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits in tenth place in the championship. The team principal commented: "Hadjar has displayed impressive growth and proved to be a quick learner. Most importantly, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive next to Max." The promoted driver called it "a fantastic step" and said he felt "prepared". The Lawson Decision To partner Lindblad at the junior team, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda. Lawson began the season with the main team but was moved back after just two races. However, he has settled back in at the junior outfit with notable results, persuading Red Bull he deserves another season. Tsunoda, meanwhile, has been ejected after a difficult season. His highest finish is a P6, and he has accumulated a small fraction of the team's points total. The driver market moves confirm that there is also no place on the Red Bull academy for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 next season.
